Self Exclusion Betplay Process
Take each step immediately and keep written confirmation. Do not wait for another loss or another failed attempt to stop.
What Is Self-Exclusion?
Self-exclusion is a formal request that prevents account access and gambling for a chosen period. It is stronger than a simple logout or marketing unsubscribe. During exclusion, the operator should restrict the account under its applicable rules, although the exact process and scope must be confirmed with operator support.
Step 1: Contact Account Support
Use the operator’s responsible-gambling or support channel and clearly state that you are requesting self-exclusion. Do not phrase the request as a general break. Ask for written confirmation, the effective start time, the duration, and what happens to any remaining balance or unsettled bets.
Step 2: Choose the Exclusion Period
Common options may include 30 days, six months, one year, or permanent closure, depending on operator policy. Select the longest period that matches your safety needs. Where gambling has caused harm or repeated limit failures, a long or permanent exclusion may be more appropriate than a short cooling-off period.
Step 3: Remove Access and Marketing
Delete apps, bookmarks, stored passwords, saved payment methods, promotional emails, and push notifications. Ask the operator to suppress marketing. Do not create another account, use a different email, switch to an unlicensed site, or gamble through another person.
Step 4: Add Third-Party Barriers
Install reputable gambling-blocking software on every device you use. Ask banks or payment providers whether gambling-transaction blocks are available. Exclude from other operators and use any national or regional multi-operator scheme available in your country.
Step 5: Build a Support Plan
Tell a trusted person, restrict access to credit, arrange debt advice when needed, and replace gambling time with scheduled activities. Contact Gambling Therapy or Gamblers Anonymous for independent support. Local health services can help with anxiety, depression, or compulsive behaviour.
If You Feel in Immediate Danger
Self-exclusion is not an emergency service. When gambling-related distress creates a risk of self-harm or immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis service in your country without delay.
